getting started

  • Not at all! Our workouts are progressive and fully customisable to you, making them perfect for everyone—from complete beginners to experienced lifters.

  • Absolutely—as long as you have medical clearance. Many women come to UVSL to rebuild strength, recover from past injuries, and ease aches and pains they once thought were “just normal.” Our expert coaches will provide regressions, modifications, and personalised guidance to ensure you move safely while getting the most out of your workout.

  • Yes! We’ve supported many women through pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Strength training is not only safe but incredibly beneficial during these stages of life. We’ll tailor movements as needed and ensure you train in a way that feels right for your body.

  • It’s simple! Just head to “First Timers” and fill out the “Book A Call” form on the page, and we’ll be in touch to chat about your goals, experience, and any health considerations. From there, we’ll customise the best plan to help you succeed.

Membership & Programs

  • It depends on your goals.

    • A UVSL Membership gives you access to ongoing progressive strength training and sustainable habit-building.

    • LastStart is a 6-week results-driven program designed to teach you everything you need for fat loss, strength, mindset shifts, and habit transformation. It’s the perfect way to kick off your journey.

  • The level of support and structure. LastStart is a highly guided experience with more coaching and accountability especially for women looking to achieve fat loss, making it ideal if you want to see faster, more transformative results.

  • You can go straight into membership if you prefer. But those who start with LastStart tend to see greater progress, faster fat loss results, and feel more confident in their training and understanding of how to manage their lifestyle to keep the results they achieve.

UVSL training experience

  • Up to 20 women—but it’s not a chaotic circuit style class. Our classes are deliberately structured to keep you focused and supported. Your coach is watching, guiding, and ensuring you’re moving safely and effectively.

  • No worries! If we don’t spot it first, just let us know, and your coach will help with adjustments, regressions, or technique modifications so you still get the full benefit of the movement.

  • Every exercise includes a Load Guide with suggested weights for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels—helping you confidently choose the right challenge.

  • You’ll see it, feel it, and track it in UVSL+, our app where you log your lifts and track your improvements. Plus, you’ll notice real-life progress—exercises feeling more natural, movements becoming easier, and your body getting stronger.

  • We’re not just another gym—we’re a women’s-only strength training experience, built for real progress. Every class is scientifically programmed, technique is our top priority, and our UVSL+ app supports you beyond the gym with resources like recipes, technique videos, stabilty training, a thriving community and much more…

  • Yes! Our workouts are structured by time-based blocks like AMRAPs (As Many Rounds As Possible) and EMOMs (Every Minute On The Minute) and many other time-based structures, meaning you work at your own pace with weights that suit you. You’ll get stronger over time without the pressure of keeping up with others.

THE STUDIO & facilities

  • We have three dedicated spaces right out front, plus plenty of free street parking.

  • Yes, we do!

  • Yes—shower facilities are available for your convenience.

  • No—our coaches guide you in real-time. Instead of staring at screens, you’ll have printed workout cards at your station with everything you need: exercises, reps, and load guides. Your coach is always there to support you.

  • Anything you’re comfortable moving in. As a women-only space, wear what makes you feel good—whether that’s a crop top, oversized tee, or full coverage.

  • Around 50 minutes, including warm-up, coaching explanations, and the workout itself.

  • No, you’ll have your own station with clean equipment. At most, you’ll move to a mat nearby, but everything is deliberately structured for maximum results.

MEMBERSHIP & POLICIES

  • 15 minutes early so your coach can walk you through everything, discuss your experience, and answer any questions.

  • A warm, welcoming community. Your coach will introduce you, guide you, and make sure you feel 100% comfortable.

  • You don’t have to be strong to start—but you have to start to get strong. We have women of all experience levels, shapes, and sizes. Wherever you’re at, we’ve got you.

YOUR FIRST CLASS

  • UVSL is for women at every stage of life—from beginners to seasoned lifters, pre-kids, post-partum, peri and post-menopause. The average age is around 40.

  • Our coaches are not only highly certified and experienced, but they’ve also trained through the UVSL Training Academy—learning our specific women-focused methodology. They’re real women who understand strength, training, and YOU.

  • You’ll always feel welcome, seen, and supported. We focus on technique, progress, and community—with in-person guidance, events, and UVSL+, our app that keeps your journey going outside the gym.

  • Yes! You can pause for up to 8 weeks per year (minimum 7-day blocks). To cancel, just contact your studio manager.

  • It’s the other half of your membership. UVSL+ supercharges your results with recipes, technique videos, resources to enhance your health and lifestyle, a private forum, and weight tracking—so you see your strength grow over time.

  • Yes—cancellations within 9 hours of class start time will be charged a $10 Late Cancellation Fee. No-shows are $15.

  • Of course! We love having little ones around. Your kids are welcome to sit in our designated space where they can see you throughout class. We just ask that they remain settled so that everyone can focus on their training—after all, this is your time too!
